This fall, Teenergizer activists and volunteers took part in a special event “How are you? Stories of Resilience”, dedicated to World Mental Health Day and held as part of the All-Ukrainian Mental Health Program “How Are You?”, initiated by Olena Zelenska and supported by UNICEF Ukraine!
Our activists shared their feelings and talked about the problems that young people in Ukraine are facing today. These include fear for their relatives, depression, suicidal thoughts, toxic relationships, and many other experiences.
In the video, our Teenergizer activist Valeria shared her story of a suicide attempt, how doctors treated her, and how she managed to go through this difficult path:
Unfortunately, teenagers and young people in Ukraine do not always dare to seek help from specialists and are left alone. 55% of Ukrainian youth have never sought psychological help when they are depressed. This is evidenced by a UNICEF survey.
Remember that you are not alone!
