Teenergizer joined The Pan-European Mental Health Coalition

We are happy to share an extraordinary milestone in the history of our organization — on January 19, 2023, Teenergizer joined The Pan-European Mental Health Coalition, which is part of a larger movement initiated by the World Health Organization (WHO)!

When we started our work in 2015, we did not even dream that we would join such an important and large-scale international initiative in the future. We just wanted to help teenagers and be a support for them.

This is a very significant achievement for our entire team, especially now, when attention to mental health issues is more important than ever. Amid the war, young people in Ukraine do not feel safe not only physically but also emotionally. Many teenagers face overwhelming anxiety and never seek professional help.

Our team aims to change that.

Over the past few months, Teenergizer has already achieved incredible results! Every month, we provide thousands upon thousands of free psychological consultations to teenagers and youth. And to be even more effective, we have introduced night consultations as well. Now teenagers can reach out to us during their most anxious moments, even at nighttime when anxiety tends to peak. Additionally, we conduct free mental health training sessions for hundreds of teenagers every month. Our team not only strives to help and support the youth in difficult times but also to give them the tools to cope on their own or help others!

We believe that joining the Coalition opens up new opportunities for our organization and will allow us to take an even more active part in solving mental health problems not only in Ukraine but also internationally.

We will actively work on the following areas within the Coalition:

  • Mental health leadership

Leadership training and capacity-building materials will be developed, including online/in-person training courses, masterclasses, webinars, and handbooks aimed at policymakers from relevant sectors, mental health service providers, civil society, self-advocacy organizations, etc.

  • Supporting the mental health and well-being of children, adolescents, and young people

The Coalition will aim to build comprehensive support for the mental health and well-being of children, adolescents, and young people through advocacy, suicide prevention initiatives, mental health literacy tools, and quality standards for mental health care of children, adolescents, and young people.

We are confident that our participation in the Coalition will allow us to make a significant contribution to improving the situation in the field of mental health. Together, we can help those who need it most!
